Beyond the Game
A versatile, high‑performance emulator hub for Android with support for Libretro cores, hardware rendering, gamepads, and network streaming.

About the project
Beyond the Game (BTG) is an advanced Android frontend hub unifying classic and modern retro gaming through native Libretro cores—spanning from 8-bit systems to complex 3D platforms like Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DS, and PS2.
Key Features:
Modular Core Architecture: Dynamic loading of core libraries via an optimized C++20 and JNI native layer.Smart Library Management: Fast storage scanning via Android SAF with automatic ROM classification and multi-disc image handling.Low-Level Performance: Hardware-accelerated rendering via OpenGL ES 3.0/EGL, ultra-low audio latency through Oboe, and lock-free gamepad input mapping.BTG Link (Network Streaming): Real-time H.264 hardware video encoding via MediaCodec and UDP-based streaming to secondary Android devices or displays.
Features
- Multi-platform emulation (Libretro) Hardware rendering (OpenGL ES 3) Low-level audio processing (Oboe) Support for physical gamepads Network video streaming via UDP (BTG Link) Automatic scanning of ROM files (SAF)
